Viva Llael Resistance!
Aight, so character histories… I like that shit. At best it gives me a baseline to try and write an interesting story for you and include characters from your past. At worst, it gives me something to read for a few minutes.
Anyone who turns in a history will get XP based on dice rolls. Great histories will get 3d4, good ones will get 2d6, and just turning in one will garner you 1d12. I will not be telling you who got what, just giving you your totals.
Miniatures significantly improve play, in my opinion, to facilitate players having a fully painted miniature that corresponds to their character, I will be rewarding those with them. The mini should be very similar to the character you are playing. I understand that not everyone plays something that has been cast in metal, and not everyone has the ability or inclination to mod, it should still be a reasonable facsimile.
The reward can be anything really, from a free ability to a bonus stat.
If you plan on playing a character with a ’Jack, and you have a representation of that ’Jack on the table (again, should be fairly close to what you are running) then your jack will get an upgrade of some kind. This could be anything from an upgraded system, to an imprint, or possibly even a cortex upgrade.
So, this is the most interesting special rule I think. It’s totally to get people out of their comfort zones and play something different. I will be placing a restriction or requirement on the character you build. This is not a “rule” so much as a suggestion. If you take it, something good will happen for your character, if you don’t, nothing bad will, but you will be a party pooper.
To be clear, you do NOT have to follow this restriction or requirement, but it’ll be fuuuunnnn…
Stacey: Play a Llaelese Warcaster
Sophia: Play an Aristocrat
Ron: Play a non-combat oriented character
Robert: Play a non-gifted character
James: Play a gifted character
Jeff: Play a skilled character, because it seems that is the one that isn’t represented by someone else yet
Ron and Roberts Characters have died. Their new restrictions are as follows.
Ron: Play a Tank
Robert: Play a non-combat oriented character
Brent, Shane, and Angel have not played at our table. So they will have no restrictions on their first characters.
